This Bronze after Rembrandt Bugatti is a beautiful sculpture. "Panthère assise" also known as "Seated Panther," Bugatti created a piece dominated by musculature. The undulating surface exaggerates the muscles which gives the seated panther a powerful stance although it is seated. Bugatti cleverly extended the tail which calms the viewers perception and makes the entire sculpture a more balanced piece of art while not losing the undoubted strength of the great Cat.
